Freedom ChildCare Centre has been providing quality child care to families in Victoria for over 30 years. Our experienced early childhood professionals are committed to creating a warm, secure and stimulating environment where children feel comfortable, supported and encouraged to learn.

Our Philosophy
Each child is unique with unique background experiences, interests, characteristics and abilities. Children learn in different ways and at different rates.
An environment that is trusting and caring fosters learning. Educators must recognize individual differences, plan for and adapt instruction to meet the individual needs of each child.
Educators must provide a secure, success-oriented, positive atmosphere that will foster a desire for and the pursuit of lifelong learning, which will focus on the growth and progress of each child.
Children need to learn to recognize and appreciate the special qualities of all individuals by listening to one another, by helping one another to solve problems and by learning from one another, so that a true sense of individuality develops within a community.
General Goals of Program
An early childhood program acts as a bridge between the home and the child care centre. It is a safe, secure place where the child can continue to develop healthy habits, attitudes and skills. These abilities help children approach new learning with confidence and develop a positive self-concept.
Therefore, the emphasis at Freedom is on providing activity-based experiences that promote social, emotional, physical and intellectual development, with all areas working together and being equally important to a child’s overall growth.
We encourage children to explore, communicate, make choices and learn through meaningful experiences in a supportive environment. Our goal is to help every child build confidence, independence and a positive attitude toward learning.
Daily Schedule and Routines
Our daily routine is thoughtfully planned to give children a healthy balance of play, learning, movement and rest. Each day includes opportunities for individual exploration, group activities, creative experiences and indoor and outdoor play, allowing children to learn at their own pace while enjoying positive interactions with others.
Children also take part in everyday care routines such as meals, rest, toileting, dressing and personal care. These familiar routines help children feel comfortable and secure while developing independence, healthy habits, confidence and important self-help skills. Educators provide gentle guidance throughout the day, creating a predictable and supportive routine where children feel encouraged to participate, explore and grow.
Guidance and Discipline Policy
Child guidance is an important part of helping children develop self-control, confidence and positive relationships with others. We encourage children to understand their feelings, make appropriate choices, solve problems and gradually take responsibility for their actions in a supportive and respectful environment.
Our approach focuses on positive guidance rather than punishment. Educators provide clear expectations, gentle support and age-appropriate guidance to help children understand how their actions affect themselves and others. Through everyday experiences, children learn to communicate, manage emotions, cooperate and develop a healthy sense of self-esteem.
